The Buteyko breathing course has dramatically changed my life so much that I, my family and my friends are astonished at the results. It is just a year ago that I did the course. At that stage I was being treated for C.O.P.D. disease and chronic bronchitis, which was becoming worse, despite increasingly larger doses of antibiotics, prednisone and bronchodilators.

Early in 2010 I was diagnosed with moderate to severe COPD. 1000ug of inhaled steroid, 4 puffs of long acting bronchial dilator and the odd puff of short acting bronchial dilator was required to control the deteriorating condition.
Doctors had informed me that it was not possible to reduce the medication and that the condition would worsen over time.

My breathing has improved and I feel that I can manage/cope with this problem. I recently had a Spirometry test and was told by the Doctor at the Respiratory Centre that the readings were excellent and she was discharging me from the Hospital. Many thanks to Glenn for his patience and Buteyko.
