Pharmac is being taken to court over asthma drug subsidy



Drug firm Astrazeneca is challenging plans by the New Zealand Government's drug-buying agency Pharmac to reduce the subsidy on their combination inhaler – Symbicort to match the subsidy on competing firm GSK’s Seretide. This court action coincides with renewed warnings about these drugs from the United States FDA.
